A reason of the hope

Study through letters of Apostle Peter: Who we ought to be & what we ought to do.

…be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 1 Peter 3:14-15

Day after day we are closer to the fulfillment of prophesies, regarding the end times, mentioned in the Holy Bible. Events that must take place here on earth have very little light colors. Every flesh is corrupted, thoughts and desires of men – are evil, God is being rejected and his laws – forsaken. All this and more sets the stage for the coming wrath and judgment of God.

When God will finally start judging the earth, pouring out his wrath, as we read in the book of Revelations, the kingdom of the devil with all those who have joined his camp will be in а desperate situation ...and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain Rev. 16:10. There will be no joy, no pleasure, no satisfaction or comfort, no love, no peace – just pain, agony and torment. In Luke 21:26, we read that men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring. The little hope people have today will vanish and people of this world will see no light, no hope.

As everything is getting darker and darker, true children of God today, should be more and more recognizable and visible. We should not hide our light, rather than we should lift it up high and be ready and not ashamed to give an answer to every man who asks for the reason of the hope that is within us. If you call yourself a Christian but live in sin and have joined the broad way to destruction, if the only difference between you and the world is your title and form of religion, no one will probably ask you of the hope because you are as hopeless as the rest of the world.

Our hope and security of the future, does not consist of wise investments, real estate and economy; it is a shame for any Christian to even consider them as securities.

Christ in us – the hope of glory! Hope of eternity with God, great and incorruptible inheritance in heavenly mansions, Christ the redeemer and savior is our substance, and the reason for the hope that lights our face and eyes every morning. Knowing God and being His children gives us assurance that God will take care of us always.

The world can come to an end in any moment for you and me personally. The statistics on morality proves that one out of every one will die sooner or later. If you have Christ in you, you will not be troubled by the thought of the end of the world or death. Fear or uneasiness proves a weak faith in God and a lack of hope in people who are not right with God.

You can theologically know everything about hope that Christians have, even defend doctrines and teach others. However, unless your body is the temple of God where God is honored, worshipped and obeyed, all this knowledge will profit you little; and you will find yourself among the crowds marching toward hopelessness, in the same manner and appearance as the lost.

In 1 John 3:2-3, we read that the hope that we have is not passive, it is like the sister of faith that leads us to action, to holy living and to sanctification. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

Do you honestly have such hope? If you do, be ready to share it with the world because somebody next to you, who is trying to find it here on this earth, is losing the last ounce of it. Just look at the suicide statistics; it is going to get worse.

If you are the one looking for hope –Jesus is the answer! Jesus still receives sinners today, transforming their lives and changing their destiny. Cry to him for help and forgiveness. This is the first step I took and He didn’t turn me down. He will not turn away from you either!
